Effective date: 29 June 2026 - Last updated: 29 June 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Jawar Al Jazira Construction & Building Co. ("JJCO", "we", "us" or "our") collects, uses, discloses and protects personal information when you visit www.jawaraljazira.com (the "Site"), contact us by email, or otherwise engage with us in the course of a current or prospective business relationship.

We are committed to handling personal data in accordance with the Saudi Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL) issued under Royal Decree No. M/19 of 9/2/1443H and its Implementing Regulations, and - where applicable - the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data.

1. Data controller

The data controller responsible for personal information processed through this Site is:

Jawar Al Jazira Construction & Building Co. (JJCO)
Head Office: Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
Email: info@jawaraljazira.com

2. Information we collect

We only collect information that you choose to provide, or that is automatically generated when you interact with the Site.

2.1 Information you give us

  • Contact & enquiry data - name, job title, company, email address, phone number, country, and any message, attachment or project details you submit through our contact form or by email.
  • Commercial / pre-qualification data - company registration details, tender documents, scope and budget information you share when inviting us to bid or quote.
  • Recruitment data - if you send us a CV or apply for a role, your CV contents, education, employment history and references.

2.2 Information collected automatically

  • Technical data - IP address, browser type and version, operating system, referring URL, pages visited, time of visit and approximate location (country / city level).
  • Hosting logs - standard web-server access logs retained for security, abuse detection and performance monitoring.

We do not knowingly collect special-category data (such as religious belief, health or biometric data) and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under the age of 18.

3. How we use your information

We process personal data only where we have a lawful basis to do so. Our purposes are:

  • Responding to your enquiry and preparing commercial proposals or quotations (legitimate interests / steps prior to entering a contract).
  • Managing tender submissions, pre-qualification and contract execution (performance of a contract).
  • Evaluating job applications (steps prior to entering a contract; consent).
  • Protecting the Site against fraud, abuse and security incidents (legitimate interests; legal obligation).
  • Complying with Saudi tax, commercial, labour and anti-money-laundering laws (legal obligation).

We do not use your personal data for automated decision-making or profiling, and we do not use it for behavioural advertising.

4. Cookies and analytics

This Site does not set advertising, marketing or cross-site tracking cookies. We may use a single strictly-necessary session cookie to remember UI preferences (for example, dismissing this notice). Embedded third-party content - such as the OpenStreetMap iframe on our Contact page - may set its own cookies governed by the provider's privacy policy. You can disable cookies in your browser at any time without losing access to the Site's core content.

5. Sharing your information

We do not sell, rent or trade personal information. We share it only with:

  • Service providers who help us operate the Site or our business - for example, our website host, email provider and IT support - under written confidentiality and data-protection obligations.
  • Professional advisers - auditors, lawyers and insurers - when strictly necessary.
  • Public authorities when we are required to do so by Saudi law, a valid court order, or a regulatory request.
  • A successor entity in the event of a merger, acquisition or reorganisation of JJCO, subject to equivalent confidentiality protections.

6. International transfers

Personal data collected through the Site is processed primarily in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Where our service providers process data outside KSA (for example, in the UAE or the EU), we rely on the safeguards permitted under Article 29 of the PDPL and its Implementing Regulations, including adequacy decisions and contractual safeguards.

7. Data retention

We keep personal data only for as long as needed for the purpose it was collected, and then either delete it or anonymise it:

  • General enquiries that do not lead to a relationship - up to 24 months.
  • Active client, supplier or subcontractor records - for the duration of the relationship and for the period required by Saudi commercial and tax law (currently 10 years) after it ends.
  • Unsuccessful job applications - up to 12 months from the date of application unless you ask us to keep your CV on file.
  • Server access logs - up to 12 months.

8. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect personal data against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or destruction. These include access controls, HTTPS/TLS encryption in transit, principle-of-least-privilege within our team, and secure deletion procedures. No method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:

  • Be informed about how we use your personal data;
  • Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
  • Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data;
  • Ask us to delete data we no longer need, or to restrict its use;
  • Withdraw any consent you previously gave;
  • Object to processing carried out on the basis of our legitimate interests;
  • Lodge a complaint with the Saudi Data & AI Authority (SDAIA) or your local supervisory authority.

To exercise any of these rights, email info@jawaraljazira.com with the subject line "Privacy request". We will respond within 30 days. We may ask you to verify your identity before acting on a request.

10. Third-party links

The Site may contain links to third-party websites (for example, client websites or social media). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites; please review their own privacy notices before submitting any personal data.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, for material changes, post a notice on the Site. Please review this page periodically.
